Art Matters (AM) is a digital platform, which includes online workshops and lectures in various disciplines of art for participants (NEET) and presents the opportunity for creative personal growth and therefore bringing them back into the economy (job market). The educational program will offer beginner-level courses in Painting, Audio-visual narratives, sculpture, design, etc. where professional artists will share their expertise on how to get inspired and utilise affordable tools, everyday objects and recycled materials to the participants.
Inspired from a similar project (Job Act) created and run successfully in Germany since 2016 using Art as therapy and education.
In our methodology, we combine art education with vocational, entrepreneurial and application training to strengthen key competencies of participants that are essential for social inclusion and also for their (re-) integration into the labour market. The aim of the project is to develop learning opportunities through art courses for disadvantaged people. The project is tailored to improve the chances of various groups in need with multiple integration issues, most often leading to long-term unemployment. The project fosters social inclusion and the employability of each participant.
